What I learned Today: 02/13/13
Today, I was finally able to solve the problem I had with Importing a shape from Maya into Unity. Turns out I need to set the preferences to specific settings everytime I start up Maya and likewise with unity as they do not save preferences. Once I imported the shape into Unity, I was then struggling to find why the shape was too small. It wasn't until I found the settings for scaling the shape. Once that was done, I finally had the size I had wanted. Now I can finally get caught up with the class and begin texturing.

What I learned Today: 02/04/13
Today, I not only had to re-examine and relearn making a object, but I also learned how to apply textures to the created objects. To assist in applying this fully for wednesday, I collected a wide selection of textures, varying from stone to diamond Plate. I have the hope of showing all the things I've learned while making it abit of a display of my style.

What I learned Today: 01/30/13
Today in my third day of Level design, I continued my learning Maya and would this time get to learn the basics of the preferences and settings.
After watching todays lecture video both produced and provided by the instructor, I was able to then actually learn how to both set the grid to centimeter, to draw an object and to construct a room.
What I Iearned Today: 1/28/12
Today in my second day of Level design, I familiarized myself with a program called Maya, a 3D modelling program used mainly for characther modelling. Having no familiarity with said program, it was abit of challenge to navigate around and figure everything. Only program that even comes slightly close was another Autodesk product called 3DS Max. Even then, it was nowhere near as packed or as massive.
After watching an intro video both produced and provided by the instructor, I was able to then actually learn how to navigate it. By Pressing Alt and Left clicking, I was able to rotate the object. By Pressing ALT and Right Click, I was able to pan around the object. I was also treated to some of the buttons and functions in the program. For instance, I was able to import a object (in this case a Sphere) into the program and by using Q, W & E, I was able to toggle between wireframe, Texture and Texture with Wireframe.
